Puppy Packs and Optional Products
Your new puppy comes with:
Puppy Pack: Your puppy pack's exact contents may vary depending on availability but will always include:
Health Record with dates of all vaccinations, dewormings and medical treatment to date.
Copy of Health Guarantee signed and dated by myself on the day you pick up you new kiddo.
Sample of Food so that you know what your baby has been eating and to give you some to
get you through until you can buy some the next day or to transition
them over so as not to upset the tummy with too quick a change. We feed Nutro MAX Puppy dry (sometimes soaked if
teeth aren't all in yet but never canned) which is a good quality food that my vet has also approved. To learn more about it go to
Nutro Products but be sure to use the back button on your browser to return here.

Optional Add-ons:
Optional add-ons must be ordered and paid for at least a week before time to pick up or ship your puppy.

Crate: The crates come in various sizes and pictured are a couple of examples of the crates I offer. Colors vary with different sizes.
Use: Crates are very useful in housebreaking and containing puppies when they can't be supervised. I have found it handy to have all my dogs crate trained so
that if I ever need to contain them for any reason they are not upset or disturbed by the experience and don't cry or howl
while crated. There are several different methods of crate training and I would be happy to discuss my method when you come to pick up your puppy.
Cost: $30-$40 depending on size requested. Sizing is determined by whether you are looking
for a crate for use only during the puppy stages and potty training or whether the crate is for adult use as well.
Crate included in shipping price quote. Puppies shipped will always be shipped in the smaller crates unless otherwise requested and buyer will pay the difference
in price for shipping of the larger size.
AVID Friendchips Microchips: A univeral and permanent way to identify your fur-kid.
Reasons to Microchip: Every 2 seconds a pet is lost. Most never make it back home. Most shelters now routinely scan found pets for a possible
microchip and a microchip cannot become lost, chewed off or removed by someone who finds your pet and thinks they should keep it for their own.
I personally know of someone whose schnauzer was stolen from his yard and the vet the thief took the dog to to be neutered did a routine scan for a microchip and was able
to determine the person bringing the dog in was not in fact the dog's owner and the real owner was able to recover his beloved boy and the thief was prosecuted. Also, in the case of
hurricane Katrina, so many pets were separated from their owners... think of how many more pets would have been able to be reunited with owners and how much more quickly had they had microchips to
record their personal ID number. Microchips have also been used to prove ownership in cases where a dog was taken and claimed by someone else as their own... the microchip's registered owner was able to unequivocally prove their rights.
How it works: Contrary to popular belief the microchip does not carry all your personal idenification, it simply has a number encoded onto it which is then registered to your name in the Database at PETrac.
You fill out the included registration form with your and your pet's information and send it in with the reasonable, lifetime enrollment fee. At the PETrac database, this information is linked with the unique ID number encoded on your pet's microchip.
The microchip itself is so small it fits thru a hypodermic needle and is implanted under the skin like a vaccination injection. You are also
given a special tag for your dog's collar which also has the chip number as
well as the 1-800 number for PETrac on it. In this way someone who finds your pet does not even have to have the special scanner to know their ID number for you to be able to recover your pet. After a search of the database,
you, your vet or your alternative contact will be contacted and your pet comes home. Incidentally, any microchip bought through me also has the number and your information on file with me, so worst case scenario is they contact me and then I you...
so there are multiple avenues to return your baby to you.
